Silent Auction

We will also hold a silent auction during the evening’s events, featuring two of Lindsay Kosma’s paintings, which she painted during 2017 Carolina Jubilee with the help of kids and the community.

About Lindsay Kosma

Lindsay Kosma is a painter and mixed media artist in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through her various mediums she creates environments that juxtapose the relationship between the natural and man-made world. Loose strokes and swashes of vibrant color are used to infuse emotion in to every piece. Stylistically, the work is abstract and impressionistic with hints of surrealism.

On the surface, her work may appear bright and straightforward and can stand alone as such. Though, there are always layers of meaning and metaphor that combine to form the aesthetic economy of each piece. Despite suggested meaning, Kosma leaves much room for interpretation. Usual subjects include people, specifically faces, architecture, flora, fauna, and other living and non-living organisms that are broken apart and reconstructed to incite substance.
